How to use the "JEANS Twin Needle" on a sewing machine

• Turn on the twin needle mode or use a similar button on your sewing machine (if available) to limit the stitch width. This prevents the needle from accidentally hitting the needle plate and breaking.
• Check the thread tension with a few test stitches using fabric scraps. Adjust the thread tension so that the bobbin thread forms a light zigzag pattern along the seam.
• Reduce the sewing speed slightly on thicker fabric sections to prevent needle breakage.
• Do not press or pull the fabric while sewing, as this can cause uneven stitch length and, in the worst case, needle damage.

The denim twin needle can create authentic, professional seams on denim and other denim products – even without a special sewing machine. A regular home sewing machine can sew two seams simultaneously with a 4 mm gap using two upper threads.

Note:
The bar color is now red (previously it was blue). The technical properties of the needles do not change due to this color change.

Before sewing
The denim twin needle is suitable for all standard home sewing machines with a zigzag function. It is inserted into the needle holder like other home needles: the flat shank side faces away from you.
The needle plate and presser foot must have a sufficiently wide opening for the needle spacing. Use a zigzag needle plate and zigzag presser foot.

Threading the needles

• Each of the two needles requires a separate thread. If there is no second thread holder, use a bobbin for the second thread and place it under the first thread spool holder.
• Make sure the bobbin and thread spool unwind in the same direction.
• Both threads can be the same color or different colors for a decorative effect.
• Guide both threads through the sewing machine’s thread guides together as one thread, then separate and thread one thread through each eye. Some machines have special thread separators – follow your model’s instructions.
  Note: The automatic needle threader does not work with twin needles!

Warning: Make sure your sewing machine has a wide enough needle plate and presser foot opening to safely use a twin needle with a large gap between needles. Using the wrong needle can damage the sewing machine or cause needle breakage.
