     Satiin on satiinkoes kangas, millel on läikiv, sile parem pool ja matt pahem pool. Selle kanga parimad omadused – meeldivalt pehme struktuur, kaunilt langev ja kergesti hooldatav.

     Kerge läige muudab kanga elegantsemaks ja kaunimaks, seetõttu kasutatakse seda kangast kõige sagedamini peene rõivastuse õmblemiseks, mistõttu on see suurepärane kangas kleitide, seelikute ja korsettide õmblemiseks.

     See kangas sobib suurepäraselt tuunikateks, pluusideks, ilusateks särkideks, vestideks, isegi õhulisteks rõivasteks ja ööpesuks. Satiinist õmmeldakse ka mitmesuguseid sisekujunduse dekoratsioone, näiteks kardinaid, toolikateteid, samuti lauaseinu.

     Ei sisalda elastaani ja seetõttu ei veni.
