Cotton knit terry (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in the composition.

On one side, the fabric is smooth, while on the other side it has a small looped texture, which adds extra comfort and warmth.

This fabric is ideal for sportswear, casual outfits, hats, sweatshirts, trousers, and children's clothing.

French Terry is breathable and ensures natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if it is a very stretchy knit, then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip, allowing them to glide easily between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size is usually 70/10 or 80/12.
